Begging is not Neccessory
Does your dog circle the table, bark, or rest their paws on it when you eat? Your pet dog already has plenty to eat and does not need to rely on begging to survive. In other words, begging is no longer an essential skill for them.
Keep in mind that giving in to your dog’s begging isn’t an act of love, but an act of indulgence.

Place the dog’s mat next to the table and have them lie down on it.

Keep a container of treats on the table. Every few minutes, give the dog a small piece.

If the dog stands up, tell them to go back to the mat. You’ll be surprised how long they’ll stay quietly for the chance to get another treat.

This method effectively corrects the habit of begging for food and boosts your dog’s self-control by teaching them to lie quietly instead of jumping or whining.
