Remember Names
It’s important for your dog to recognize the names of you and other family members, so you can send them to find a specific person.

Starting the Search
Have someone hold the dog while you leave the room and hide in an easy-to-find spot.
Then the helper excitedly points and says, “Go find (your name)!”

Offering Clues
The dog can follow your scent. If they struggle, make noises or peek out so they spot you. If they still can’t find you, call their name.

Celebrating Success
When the dog finds you, pat their head, praise them, and give a treat. Also say, “You found (your name)!” to reinforce the cue.

Embracing the Chase
Some dogs adore this game. You might notice they’ll grab random items to lure you into chasing them.
