Safety Tips
A harness won’t choke your dog’s neck. Use a stretchy or spiral-style leash to absorb pulling and make the run smoother.
Never wrap the leash around your wrist or hand—this can cause serious injury if the dog pulls.

Equipment for Cozy Running
Attach a small light so your dog can see at night.
A collapsible silicone water bowl is handy on the go.

Staying in Control
In crowded or roadside areas, use a shorter leash to keep your dog close. Run on the street side so your dog is farther from traffic.
If your dog likes to pull on the leash, clip it to the front of the harness. When they pull, they’ll end up turning toward you, helping reduce the pulling without much force.

Stay Alert
Even experienced runners will find it challenging to adjust the leash, manage pace, and guide the dog—this takes constant focus.
