Reward Come
Calling your dog to come is one of the most important skills. Whenever they come, reward them—whether with treats, playtime, or excited praise.

Fun with Surprise Treats
Squat down and cheerfully say, “Come.”
When the dog arrives, give treats. Break them into smaller pieces so the dog isn’t sure how many goodies you have.

Making It a Game
Squat and say, “Ready… set… Come! Come! Come!” then turn and run so the dog chases after you.
While teaching the new command, say “Come,” and use the leash to gently guide the dog toward you. The moment they arrive, reward them with a treat.

Consistency Builds Recall
“Come” remains important throughout all training. Consistent (or occasional) treats or fun rewards keep your dog motivated to stay near you.
If your dog won’t come, don’t give up. Stay where you are and keep calling. If you walk toward them, they might run away.
